Bio
For my debut as a writer and memoir author, I have started this blog and website. Silent for most of my life, I carried a rich inner world that I rarely allowed others to see. I am ready to tell my stories. Memoir-style writing has always come naturally to me and has often been my kind of therapy. Poetry is second nature to me, and I have a unique and varied writing style. Philosophy is my way of navigating this strange world; I will always ask, Why?
I live in small-town Alberta, Canada, but there is little about me that is regular. I have weathered many storms, and have had many trials, tribulations, and triumphs. In my 42 years, I've survived abuse of all kinds, the loss of a child, the loss of a mother, the loss of a beloved father-in-law, infidelity, infertility, financial struggles, parenthood, divorce, neurodivergence, and mental health challenges.
I have also overcome enormous odds. I've held onto humour and hope in my darkest hours. I have learned and grown and evolved so much that I feel as though a thousand lifetimes lie behind me. I spent much of my life alone in the darkness, and I don't want anyone else to sit alone in their darkness. I want them to know I see them, and I'll sit with them until the pain and darkness have lifted, and the light shines in once more.
